Top 5 Most Anticipated Video Games of Winter 2013-2014

Usually autumn is the biggest time for video games but we are still very excited to present you with a short list of games that will undoubtedly have an impact this winter. So, let's see what's coming!

Thief

Thief is a third person stealth action game, the 4th in a series of Thief games, developed by Eidos Montreal and published by Square Enix for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is to be released at the end of February 2014.

This is without a doubt the most anticipated game of this quarter. The crew of developers primarily consists of the former Assassin’s Creed team. The story of the game is quite peculiar and was changed from accessible to actually very dark and mysterious, which is a good thing!

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

This is the sequel to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, an action-adventure game developed by MercurySteam, published by Konami. It is expected that this will be the last game by MercurySteam within the Castlevania franchise. Developers will move towards something completely different. Scheduled for late February 2014 release.

Early reviews mark that this one will turn the whole story of original Castlevania upside down to an unexpected effect - the game's plot will take place in the modern world. This may well be a winning formula but only time will show.

Divinity: Original Sin

Divinity: Original Sin is a role-playing game developed by Belgian studio - Larian. Divinity’s main feature is cooperative mode which allows exploring the storyline with one more player. Two main characters are a "liberated from the chains sentenced warrior" and "mysterious woman that returned to life.”

This is another late February 2014 release. Screenshots and gameplays of this one look very promising. If you are a fan of fantasy RPGs in general this is the game worth checking.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

Next FF installment is an Action RPG developed by Square Enix for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, which was already released this year in Japan and scheduled for a mid February 2014 release worldwide. This game is a part of a Fabula Nova Crystallis series.

The plot is a continuation of Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2 and completes the story that began in Final Fantasy XIII. Players will be able to customize the appearance of their character and weapons. Developers admitted that the full walkthrough of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will take up to 50 hours – not bad at all!

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare

A third person shooter with elements of Tower Defense developed by PopCap Games and published by Electronic Arts will be released for Xbox One and Xbox 360 at the end of February 2014. Later this one will also be available on PC.

Anticipated?!... Definitely!
