News: Gran Turismo 6, Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse & Battlefield 4: China Rising

This week we’ll see one grand release in the form of Gran Turismo 6 (PS3) on December the 6th, one niche release for fans of puzzles and adventure games - Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse (PC) on December the 4th and 1st DLC for one of the best shooters of the past autumn - Battlefield 4: China Rising (PS3/PS4/X360/XONE/PC) on December the 3rd.




Gran Turismo 6  



The world of Gran Turismo 6 consists of 71 tracks and 1200 cars right from the start. New tracks and cars will be released on a monthly basis as downloadable add-ons. Players will be able to organize their own racing series and championships online. Especially for this purpose game introduces a new functionality, which is based on a new algorithm that generates tracks decorated with dozens of square kilometers of diverse scenery.

  • You can buy virtual money in GT6 
  • GT6 has an integrated track editor – Course Maker 
  • Updates for GT6 will tell the story of Senna’s (legendary F1 champion) career 
  • Vision Gran Turismo will allow designers to build their own cars in-game for future manufacturing 
  • Sony announced film production based on GT series that will focus on the story of Lucas Ordóñez (Spanish GT champion) 
  • GT6 will not be released on PS Vita

  • Gran Turismo 7 will be released in 2014 for PS4 

IMHO: 


  • GPS-generated track system should be very interesting 
  • Inclusion of Lunar Roving Vehicle LEV-001 is an innovative approach indeed   

 

Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse 

 


The 1st episode of Broken Sword's 5th installment adventure game titled The Serpent's Curse will be released on December the 4th. The game will be distributed through Steam and GOG.com services, as well as through the Revolution Studio’s website.

Game facts: 


  • Game is divided into 2 episodes with unrelated storylines. 2nd episode will be released in 2014 
  • The Serpent's Curse was funded through Kickstarter campaign and gathered $850,000. 
  • In the future it will be released on PS Vita, iOS and Android. 

IMHO: 


  • If this one will be as good as the first 2 Broken Sword games it is worth a try.   



Battlefield 4: China Rising 

 



On May the 21st, 2013 DICE had announced the first expansion for Battlefield 4 titled “China Rising” (previously known as "Drone Strike”). Those who pre-ordered Battlefield 4 or purchased extended edition of the game will get it for free. DLC will be available to Premium subscribers on December the 3rd, 2013. Players that don’t have Premium subscription will get the chance to purchase it 2 weeks later on December the 17th, 2013.

DLC includes: 


  • 4 new maps: Silk Road, Altai Range, Guilin Peaks and Dragon Pass 
  • 5 additional weapons 
  • 2 new vehicles: Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) available for Support class and Small-sized Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SUAV) available for Recon class 
  • 10 new missions 
  • Air Superiority mode (aircraft battles)
