News: Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag & Need for Speed: Rivals

On the same day, the 19th of November 2013, we will see the release of two highly anticipated sequels to two of the biggest game franchises: Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Need for Speed: Rivals.



Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag 



New Era. New Assassin. New Rules. – is the slogan of the 6th installment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise and is a continuation of the story of Assassin's Creed III, where the main character is an Abstergo analyst who studies the genetic memory of Desmond Miles. In the historical period, the protagonist is Edward Kenway, who is the father of Haytham Kenway and the grandfather of Connor from Assassin's Creed III; the new game takes place in the Golden Age of Piracy in the Caribbean on several islands, including Jamaica, Cuba and the Bahamas.

Another group of developers within the Ubisoft Montreal was engaged in the creation of the game, which was not involved in the development of Assassin's Creed III; as explained by CEO Yves Gilma, at the same time different teams had been working on different parts of the series, each had had a few years on the realization of their version of Assassin's Creed.

Game Facts:

  • The film based on the Assassin's Creed series will be released in August 2015.
  • Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag comes with the teaser for the new game - Rising Phoenix
  • Ubisoft rejected Uplay Passport.
  • Events of Assassin's Creed 4 and Watch Dogs take place in the same world.
  • Complete walkthrough of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag targets at 70-80 hours.
  • First DLC will be called - Freedom Cry.

Gossip:

  • Next Assassin's Creed game may take place in Egypt.

IMHO:

  • This game is NOT worse than the previous AC’s.
  • Developers should pay more attention to oriental world for the next installments.
  • This one is dedicated to fans of pirates and sea battles only.

Need for Speed: Rivals 



Need for Speed: Rivals is the spiritual successor to the game Need for Speed: High Stakes. According to the developers, this game will have more than 250 square kilometers of roads, and the players must perform tasks as a Cop or a Racer to move forward the plot.

This is the 20th game in the NFS series.

Game Facts:

  • Cops cannot change the colors of their cars.
  • Working FPS for Need for Speed: Rivals makes no more than 30.
  • Ken Block was a consutant for Need for Speed: Rivals.

Gossip:

  • Need for Speed: Rivals will not appear on the Wii U.

IMHO:

  • Need for Speed: Rivals looks better on the PlayStation 4 than on the PC.
  • Nothing new in this installment but slightly more interesting than the previous one for 2 reasons: new developer – Ghost Games and the return of Ferrari.
