League of Legends developers have launched a new game mode titled Showdown. Instead of team battles (5 vs. 5) you can now arrange fights 2 vs. 2 and 1 vs. 1.

In Showdown battles take place on the map with a single path between the bases instead of the traditional three. But there are three ways to win the fight: kill two heroes in 2 vs. 2 mode, kill the first 100 minions or destroy the enemy tower.
Showdown will be available until January 2nd, then it will likely be replaced by something else. Before Showdown there was a mode titled One For All, it allowed players gather a whole team where everyone got the same hero.
