Monolith Productions published first screenshots of the upcoming third-person action game set in The Lord of the Rings universe - Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

The game takes place in Mordor before it became a wasteland where Sauron murders the family of Talion - the main character. Talion seeks revenge and eventually discovers the roots of the The Ring's power.

Developers promise a dynamic world where every action brings a certain re-action and even enemies will be able to develope their skills. Another great thing about this game is that the story is co-developed by Peter Jackson himself. Expect Shadow of Mordor by the end of 2014.
